Educators Group News
Mission Statement: It is the mission of NCP Educator’s Group to provide a forum to connect, support, and resource everyone engaged in Christian Education in our Presbytery, through advocacy, fellowship, and caring.
All meetings are scheduled the second Thursday of the month at (New Location!) Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, unless otherwise noted. The Educators Co-Conveners this year are Priscilla Andre-Colton and Susan Wisseman.
Annual dues are $30.00 for those with a Continuing Education Allowance; $15.00 for those who do not have a Continuing Education Allowance.
A typical morning consists of coffee, fellowship, devotions, a program. Members of the group share in leading devotions and providing refreshments.

- Dues: for the 2013-2014 school year are now due. Monies from the dues help provide funds for honorariums for guest speakers and scholarships for special events, programs, or conferences.

The Thoughtful Christian now has studies available for adults (Gun Control: Beyond the Myths) and youth (Preventing Gun Violence).
- Special Needs Ministry Workshop: October 18-19, Christ Presbyterian Church, Fairfax, VA.
This workshop is designed for educators and volunteers who work in ministry with children and youth, and are seeking ways to more effectively engage children with special needs in their programs. The program will include presentations from local ministry leaders, opportunities to share current challenges/successes, training on practical classroom management strategies and resources that churches can use to tailor their specific response to this growing need.
