Interesting fundraiser idea: The choir of the Davidson College Presbyterian Church raised money last year for their trip to Leipzig by hosting a Hymnathon. They spent an entire Saturday singing the first verse of all 605 hymns and service pieces in the blue Presbyterian Hymnal, earning money as they went.

Here are two words I never heard in seminary: Income Streams. Let me guess why not:
Since a church isn’t a business, why would a minister need to understand business models?

The trouble with preacher’s kids is …they’re always rebellious; they’re goody-too-shoes; they have a tremendous need to show their depravity; they know all the Bible Stories. Both of us have heard these sentences our whole lives since we were both preachers’ kids.
